Group 1 seeks to hire an EHS Systems and Data Manager. The position reports to the Director, EHS.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically strong EHS Systems & Data Manager to support and advance our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs through data, technology, and system integration. This role will manage all EHS systems, responsible for managing safety data across multiple platforms, developing reporting and analytics solutions, and optimizing our EHS software and digital tools.
This individual will bridge the gap between safety operations and technology, ensuring data is accurate, actionable, and effectively supports decision-making across the organization. This role is critical in transforming Environmental, Health and Safety from a reactive function into a data-driven, technology-enabled capability, ensuring that systems, integrations, and analytics provide real-time visibility and actionable insights across the organization.
Responsibilities
EHS Systems Management
  • Act as the owner and primary administrator and technical owner of the company's EHS software platform. Configure, maintain, and continuously improve system functionality.
  • Manage user access, workflows, forms, and system updates
  • Oversee system performance and drive resolution of critical issues through internal teams and vendors.

Data Integration & Analytics
  • Manage the enterprise strategy for EHS data architecture, including collection, standardization, and governance.
  • Own and oversee enterprise reporting and analytics strategy (e.g., Power BI, Excel, or similar tools).
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership and field teams.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across platforms.

AI & Advanced Analytics
  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and machine learning to enhance EHS performance and risk prediction.
  • Develop or support predictive models for incident prevention, risk scoring, and trend forecasting.
  • Explore use of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Azure AI, or similar) to automate data analysis, reporting, and workflows.
  • Partner with IT and data teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing EHS systems and data pipelines.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., computer vision, NLP) for safety applications such as incident analysis and hazard identification.

Technical Leadership for EHS
  • Serve as the functional leader for EHS systems and data capabilities across the enterprise
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve data collection and reporting.
  • Lead or support implementation of new EHS technologies and system enhancements.
  • Manage relationships with EHS software vendors and technology partners

SharePoint & Collaboration Tools
  • Design, build, and maintain SharePoint sites for EHS documentation, communication, and collaboration.
  • Organize and manage digital content to improve accessibility and usability.
  • Support integration between SharePoint and other business systems.

Process Improvement & Standardization
  • Develop standardized processes for data capture, reporting, and analysis.
  • Support audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead collaboration across EHS, IT, HR, Risk, and Operations to align systems and data strategy.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in EHS systems, data analytics, or related technical role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, especially SharePoint, advanced Excell skills
  • Strong analytical and executive-level communication skills.
  • Experience administering or supporting EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Enablon, Cority, Benchmark Gensuite or similar).
  • Experience working with multiple data sources and systems integration.
  • Understanding of EHS regulations and safety programs.

Preferred
  • Familiarity with Safety regulatory compliance OSHA, EPA, OSHA 300 logs or audit processes a plus.
  • Experience using AI copilots or automation tools to enhance business processes.
  • Knowledge of Automotive Retail industry.
