As the Data Entry Operator, you will complete basic data entry, scanning and indexing various source documents into a document imaging system for storage, processing, and data management purposes within the public sector.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Entry Operator to join our team for a full time, onsite opportunity in Newark, DE. The primary responsibility of this role is to complete basic data entry, scanning and indexing various source documents into a document imaging system for storage, processing, and data management purposes within the public sector.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare documents for digitalization by separating a variety of records to prep for their indexing subtype

  • Operate scanning equipment to convert paper documents into digital formats, ensuring clarity and readability of scanned images, as necessary

  • Accurately index and categorize digital documents within the imaging system, adhering to established naming conventions and organizational standards

  • Implement document retention policies, ensuring compliance with designated retention schedules, as necessary

  • Perform quality checks on documents to validate the document was received in the proper format

  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of all digital records, following data protection regulations

  • Maintain assigned office equipment in a clean and professional manner

  • Work closely with managers and team members to ensure that all necessary documentation is collected, indexed, and maintained

What You'll Need

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite applications or equivalent

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to team members and managers

  • Familiarity with document imaging systems and related software

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

  • Transportation to/from office, dependable and on-time

  • Be available to work a minimum of one Saturday a month, if necessary

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard
