Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The Global Account Director reports to the Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing and is responsible for developing and strengthening strategic partnerships with Katalystโ€™s largest and most influential clients while driving sustainable revenue growth across key accounts. This role is focused on expanding KDMโ€™s footprint within supermajors and global energy organizations by aligning our solutions with clientsโ€™ business objectives, digital transformation strategies, and subsurface data management priorities. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Global Account Director identifies growth opportunities, cultivates long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, and collaborates closely with regional Global Account Directors, Account Executives, and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client value, enhance customer satisfaction, and position KDM as a preferred strategic partner throughout the global energy industry.

Key Tasks:
  • Act as the primary relationship owner for assigned global accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead strategic account planning and execution to uncover and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams across existing accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with Katalystโ€™s technical and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and client success.
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships to align KDMโ€™s offerings with client digital transformation and data management priorities.
  • Support business development efforts across other major accounts as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Monitor account performance, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement and revenue growth.
  • Meticulously maintain internal reporting such as monthly summaries and weekly CRM updates.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations for both internal and client meetings.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms for both KDM and its clients.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a full-time position, the Global Account Director is eligible to participate in the regional benefits offered to KDM employees.

Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel:

The Global Account Director is required to travel to attend client meetings, strategic planning and explore opportunities. Travel varies; however, it could include local, regional, national or international as dictated by client and business needs.

Required Education and Experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of subsurface oil and gas data, including seismic and well data.
  • A minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience within the oil and gas industry and/or data management services.
  • Strong understanding of E&P data management practices.
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or Technical Diploma in relevant field is preferred.
