Data Management Manager

Duties:Lead the US commercial Data Lake at Amgen as a business owner for two therapeutic areas (TAs), overseeing operations of the platform including data governance, data quality and hygiene, and administration of the platform to support data driven decision making; Oversee onboarding and setting up new data sources and data sets for Analytics, Reporting, Incentive Compensation in support of existing brands as well as new product launches; Product Owner for platform enhancement requests from cross functional stakeholders including Analytics teams, Data Sciences, Forecasting and Field Force Effectiveness, leading cross functional prioritization and end-to-end implementation of the deliverables; Develop data services capabilities such as the integration of data from varied internal sources, data from external stakeholders and enable data science and artificial Intelligence/machine learning capabilities to provide insights and address business problems; Develop analytics applications and collaborate with software engineers to develop data processing pipelines for datasets using AWS and Databricks technologies; Use programming languages such as Python, R or SQL to build these pipelines; Lead collaborative efforts with Data Architects, Business SMEs, and Data Scientists to innovate and optimize our data ecosystem, enhancing customer support and scaling our architecture for future growth, while exploring and piloting new tools and techniques; Lead and implement new Data Platform capabilities by conducting proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives and technology evaluations to streamline processes, automate and optimize data pipelines to improve data quality & accelerate data availability; Review use cases, requirements and technical designs to identify areas of risk and write technical specifications, flow charts and architectural diagrams for solutions. Requirements:Master'sdegree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering Management, Data Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Data Management - related occupation. The position also requires 2 years of experience in the following: 1. Commercial data, analytics domain and knowledge of pharmaceutical data sets such as patient-level data sets, sales data sets XPO, DDD, chargebacks, other prescription and demand datasets andOneKeydemographics data, claims datasets IQVIA, and Speaker Programs. 2. Data engineering, data ingestion, data integration, prototyping, and reporting using SQL, Python, and Informatica for supporting product launches by onboarding and preparing datasets for analytics and reporting. 3. Analyzing large-scale relational datasets Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL and perform data extraction and manipulation using data analysis tools and languages including Databricks and Redshift. 4. Business Intelligence & Advanced Visualization through platforms including Tableau and Microsoft Power BI to develop interactive dashboards and generate strategic insights for pharmaceutical commercial sales, forecasting, or marketing teams. 5. Robotic Process Automation & Workflow Automation, involving the evaluation or implementation of automationsolutionsUiPath, Blue Prism and SharePoint workflows to streamline manual data tasks and reduce errors in regulated healthcare settings. 6. Regulatory requirements related to handling critical patient level data including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act. 7. Master Data Management (MDM), implementing and supporting MDM processes in the pharmaceutical industry including mastering prescribers, payers, products, and PBMs to serve as the foundational layer for commercial analytics use cases.
