Job Description

The Associate Project Manager willย be responsible forย supportingย a program of high-impact, high-volumeย retail merchandisingย projects.ย This role willย helpย ensure project work across multiple product categories and retail environments is flawlessly implemented by our in-house retail studio.ย 

As theย Associateย Project Manager, you willย be responsible forย maintainingย and managing inputs/outputs in a bespoke data management and planogram output tool.ย You willย facilitateย efficientย projectย workflow, develop and manage project timelines,ย andย closelyย monitorย project tracking. You willย alsoย play aย roleย inย continuously supporting process optimization and innovation.ย 

You will collaborate with dedicated creative,ย productionย and quality assurance teams, as well as work closely with agency leads and client stakeholders. This is a terrific opportunity to work with a blue-chip client! Candidates mustย be located inย or around the San Jose / Santa Clara / Sunnyvale, California area.ย 

This role is remote and must be willing to work in Pacific time zone hours.

Responsibilities

Whatย You'llย Do:ย ย 

  • Manage smallย retail merchandisingย projects independently or supportย senior project management to leadย aย portionย of a larger engagement on timeย &ย on budget while exceeding client expectations.ย Projects focus on developing, iterating, and distributing retail store planograms at large scale volumes, with a strong focus on product-driven updates. The teamย is responsible forย developing detailed schematics thatย determineย where and how products should be displayed on tables,ย shelvesย and fixtures.ย 

  • Support program management onย scheduling, tracking, change management, evaluating, and controllingย tasks.ย 

  • Set clear expectations for tasks and deliverables across teams accountable for work, communicating clearly to the team and providing proper materials/documentation when necessary.ย 

  • Anticipate,ย identify, and communicate risks, seeking guidance from senior leads to assist in mitigating any issues.ย ย 

  • Provide ongoing monitoring of progress such as project status, issue resolution, task and allocation management, and timeline tracking; consult with team and adjust as needed.ย 

  • Adopt automation and embrace tools to streamline efficiency.ย 

  • Exceptional attention to detail is crucial to ensure all aspects of the planograms are accurately implemented andย maintained. This includes managing inventory, understanding product placement, and ensuring compliance with established planograms.ย 

  • Previousย exposureย toย projects in the retail planning & merchandising spaceย is a plus, such as familiarity with:ย ย 

    • Production teams thatย use modeling andย renderingย software to develop retail floor/space diagrams, table/fixture layouts, and product icons.ย 

  • Qualityย assuranceย toย validateย that all deliverables meet exacting specifications such as consistency, visual indicators, spacing/sizing, product accuracy, and volume accuracy.ย 

  • How the customer experience in retail affects space planning decisions.ย 

  • Business drivers and considerations for merchandising teams, store planning teams, and retail partners worldwide.ย ย 

Qualifications
  • 2+years of project management experience in an agency environmentย managing a high volume of projects aligned to product lifecycles.ย 

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.ย 

  • Excellent communication skills, particularlyย to driveย workflow steps and internal processes, and the ability to work with distributed global teams.ย ย 

  • Exposure to standardย communication, projectย managementย and workflow tools.ย ย 

  • Ideally, some familiarity with retail merchandising projects focused on planogram development.ย 

  • Experience in theconsumer electronics industry is a plus.ย

ย Compensation Range: USD $50,065.00 - USD $63,200.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
