Job description

Job Description

You are a strategic thinker passionate about transforming data-driven reporting and controls. You have found the right team.

As a Data Domain Architect Associate in our Financial Analysis Reporting Systems team, you will spend each day defining, refining, and delivering timely, accurate headcount results to support both internal stakeholders and external reporting needs. You will be responsible for owning operational BAU processes, strengthening end-to-end data controls to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness, and proactively partnering with Technology to design and implement system enhancements that eliminate manual workflows.

Our team is focused on extracting, analyzing, and synthesizing data to address ad hoc stakeholder requests, modernizing our data environment by adopting next-generation tools and technologies (including AI and platforms such as Databricks), and translating business requirements into scalable, automated solutions. The ideal candidate combines rigorous financial and headcount acumen with a builder's mindset-improving controls, elevating data quality, and accelerating the speed and reliability of our reporting.

Job responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, timely weekly and monthly headcount reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Technology to reconcile and validate data across sources and ensure alignment.
  • Own day-to-day reporting operations, including triaging and resolving data issues and managing break/fix items.
  • Maintain clear runbooks and SOPs to ensure consistent execution and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Enhance preventive and detective data controls and quality rules; implement checkpoints as architectures and processes evolve to maintain compliance.
  • Ensure audit readiness by maintaining complete evidence, sign-offs, and artifacts for reviews and testing.
  • Identify manual pain points and deliver scalable automation; drive continuous improvement from ideation through deployment and post-implementation validation.
  • Partner with Technology to prioritize and deliver system and data model enhancements; contribute to requirements, UAT, and change management.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear reports and presentations that inform executive and operational decisions.
  • Extract, analyze, and summarize large datasets to generate actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 2 plus years of relevant experience
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases, with ability to transform large datasets and develop robust reporting solutions.
  • Practical experience with analytics and data-wrangling tools (e.g., Alteryx, SAS, Python), including design of repeatable, auditable workflows and automated pipelines.
  • Proven experience in reporting development and testing, including interpreting unstructured or imperfect data to derive objective, defensible insights.
  • Strong grounding in data management disciplines, including data lineage, metadata management, and data dictionary stewardship to improve discoverability and reuse.
  • Working knowledge of controls frameworks, with experience anticipating audit requirements and instituting effective controls in response to process or architectural changes.
  • Expertise in data quality management, including profiling, cleansing, and validation to sustain high-quality data across pipelines and reports.
  • Demonstrated delivery of process improvement and automation initiatives, including KPI definition, outcome measurement, and operationalization of best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Operations, Risk, and Technology.
  • Self-directed and intellectually curious, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and a preference for action and ownership.
