  • Effective testing, reporting, repairing and updating of all test vehicles in regards of chassis in a timely manner to ensure no delays for SOP as well as no tow-ins and no unknown field complaints
  • Provide technical data and data analysis on reported VW, Audi and other Group-Brand test vehicles, parts and components in order to determine the root cause of quality and design issues, validate driver complaints and provide a full technical understanding regarding costumer/driver complaints to support the development countermeasures
  • Develop and maintain fast and efficient communication flow with Audi AG.
  • Support Audi at test drives and similar programs in cooperation with I/EG-Q and Audi AG

Possible Tasks within this Role
Data Analysis - 60% of time
  • Selects, creates and coordinates data logger configurations for all Audi NAR Test Fleet stations (Allendale, NJ, Duette, FL, Golden, CO, Oxnard, CA and Phoenix, AZ) and among all verification and validation test cycles or vehicle intensive tests
  • Determines data logger configuration updates based on various vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, MOST, LIN, Ethernet, Flexray, etc. based on traces, Classifications, vehicle fault memories as well as Market studies/criteria (JDP, Consumer report, etc.)
  • Provide technical data and data analysis on reported VW, Audi and VW Group test vehicles, parts and components in order to determine the root cause of quality and design issues, validate driver complaints and provide a full technical understanding regarding costumer/driver complaints to support the development countermeasures
  • Generate reports to ensure and monitor the quality of NARTF operations
    • Weekly fleet operation reports
    • Fault reports
    • OBD ratio reports
    • Drive profile reports
    • End of shift reports

Data Acquisition - 30% of time
  • Acquires necessary information related to specific test issues through analysis of development IT systems, existing network with development and quality departments within VW Group
  • Configure and install vehicle data logging systems for 100-130 vehicles

  • Data recording hardware inventory administration
  • Takes responsibility to develop and extend information channels
  • Performs self-directed analysis activities of technical issues upon request individually or with team members including Audi AGW AG, Bentley, Lamborghini, PSW, etc.) Analysis must determine/yield the following:
    • Complete understanding of problems/tasks, determining whether problems are known within VW organization (i.e. other markets/models)
    • Identifies/determines appropriate approach, required resources and engages appropriate area of VW-Group departments for resolution
    • Conducts thorough data analysis to identify problem areas and conditions causing or contributing to quality issues
    • Develops/validates measurement configurations together with involved departments
    • Documents all findings and solutions within database, performs lessons learned analysis leading to a continuous improvement processes of the development/testing process
    • Presents findings to requesters in a clear, structured way
    • Based on necessity, involves and coordinates activities with other area/suppliers in order to perform further/deeper analysis

Miscellaneous - 10% of time
  • Based on requests, supports development department's activities regarding US market (Info-Requests, Benchmarks, Investigations, etc.)
