Job Description

Position Summary:

Plex, by Rockwell Automation, is the leading cloudbased, multitenant Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Quality Management System (QMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform for manufacturers, recognized as an MES market leader by multiple industry analysts.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager for Data & Integration to own and evolve the core platform capabilities that determine how Plex connects, secures, models, and moves data across the manufacturing ecosystem.

Reporting to the Group Product Manager for Platform, Data & AI, you will define the strategy and roadmap for Plex's data and integration capabilities. You will work closely with engineering, domain product teams, customers, and GTM teams to shape how Plex data is exposed and consumed by humans, systems, and agents.

This is a senior product leadership role designed for a PM ready to grow into broader platform leadership responsibility. You will operate at the intersection of technical depth, customer engagement, and stakeholder influence.

We are looking for someone who has earned their technical fluency, not just studied it. You have built integrations, designed APIs, implemented enterprise systems, or led API modernization initiatives at some point in your career. You bring that depth into product work to shape strategy and translate complex platform investments into clear customer and business value.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead product vision, roadmap, and execution for Plex's Data & Integration platform, including APIs, events, IAM, integrations, and core data services; establish clear metrics for business impact.
  • Own product strategy for enterprise customers, including prebuilt integrations, cross-cloud support, and platform capabilities large manufacturers need at scale.
  • Lead API and integration strategy, including migration to modern REST, event-driven, and MCP-compatible interfaces.
  • Drive platform capabilities that reduce implementation time and lower TCO, including sandbox tenant tooling, pre-built connectors, and implementation agents.
  • Serve as primary product voice with enterprise customers and GTM teams, leading discovery, advisory conversations, executive alignment, and enablement.
  • Collaborate with domain product teams (MES, QMS, ERP) to ensure data, events, and integration definitions support their roadmaps and reduce platform fragmentation.
  • Lead other PMs and Business Analysts; raise the product craft bar across the group.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 10% of time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 8+ years in product management, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead PM role at a B2B SaaS company with enterprise customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • Hands-on background in integration, API development, or solutions architecture; you have built or implemented something, not just managed it.
  • Experience leading API modernization, including migration to REST, event-driven, webhook, or MCP-compatible interfaces.
  • Strong enterprise customer engagement track record (discovery, advisory boards, executive briefings, or pre-sales) with the executive communication skills to translate customer needs into platform strategy.
  • Demonstrated GTM experience, including messaging, launch planning, and enablement for technical platform capabilities.
  • Experience managing or mentoring product managers, with demonstrated investment in others' growth.
  • Experience operating across a platform PM org with multiple concurrent domains, holding areas loosely rather than one area deeply.
What We Offer:
  • Health, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance
  • 401k
  • Paid Time off
  • Parental and Caregiver Leave
  • Flexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.
  • Opportunities to influence secure product architecture and embedded cybersecurity for global OT systems.

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.

At Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right person for this or other roles.
