Job description

Location: Head Office, Lexington, KY
Activate is a fast growing location based entertainment company. The parent company of Activate America also owns Breakout Games, the largest escape game company in the US, and a couple other smaller concepts. We are heading into a growth phase and will need to add expertise to our team, especially in the area of new location expansion. As a Launch Installation Lead, you will be the point person for installation of all of the proprietary technology for Activate. This would include all game room tech installation, general network installation and setup, Lobby tech installation (POS, Digital signage), and security camera installation and setup. Our ideal candidate is someone who has experience with similar installations and setups. This could be with an AV or network installation company or something similar. This position will require significant travel (expect around 50%) and could include stints of travel over a month long at a time depending on the installation schedule. During your travel time you will be provided lodging, mileage, and per diem.
Requirements:
  • Requirements include lifting 30lbs frequently and 50lbs occasionally
  • Ability to lift, stoop, bend and work above and below waist
  • Ability to use and work from ladders and elevated work area
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools including saws, hammer, drill, etc
  • Ability to perform work that requires coordination with another team member
  • Ability to use measuring devices and basic math
  • Basic understanding of electronics
  • Effective in verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to travel for longer periods of time (approximately 50%)

Responsibilities

  • Lead install of rooms at location, construction and tech.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues that appear during installation.
  • Coordinate with the project director, tech team, construction team, and owners to accomplish collective goals.
  • Organize & order materials prior to installation
  • Training staff members on operation of equipment, technical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
  • Acting liaison for home office and location staff during launching phases for new locations.
  • When not traveling, ordering, organizing, and maintaining inventory and tech reports drafted by locations.
  • Will assist, either remotely or travel, troubleshooting / repair, issues at locations.

Job Description
The Location Launch Team Lead will organize equipment ensuring it is ready for installation. Then traveling to locations and conducting install. You will coordinate with install teams (project, tech, contractors, and construction), along with installing / setting up tech for each game. Conducting tests and troubleshooting technical issues for each game during this process to ensure minimal issues during store launch. Will act as technical supervisor at location for initial launch phase. During this, the Location Launch Technician will also train staff on equipment, help the location manager on store needs, and communicate store health to project director and owners until permanent personnel are assigned. When not traveling, you will maintain inventory, tech upgrades, and general tech reports per location, along with the project director.
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
