About You: We are looking for a Low Voltage Fiber & Data Installation Technician who would be responsible for the installation, termination, wire pulling and certification of commercial structured cable, fiber, data and security systems. Upon starting with LVC Companies, you will be required to be a member of the IBEW 640.

Compensation/Benefits: A competitive pay ranging from $22-$35 per hour depending on experience. Essential Functions:

  • Installation of low voltage CAT5, CAT6, fiber, and electronic cable as per specifications.
  • Basic wiring and installation of hardware used in fiber, data, and security systems
  • Operation of cable testing equipment to ensure system performance
  • Strong understanding of low voltage fiber/data components and circuitry
  • Install Pathways and Spaces for Installation of Low Voltage Wiring
  • Lay Out, Install and Verify Operation of Fiber, Data, Security and Access Control Systems
  • Meet all installation deadlines
  • Full compliance with company's and customer's safety program
  • Strong understanding of Low Voltage Fiber & Data systems and installation
  • Fiber and Data termination & Fusion Splicing experience preferred

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • An Associate's degree in electronics is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience (Industry experience will be considered on an individual basis)
  • Working knowledge of low voltage systems is required.
