Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reporting to: VP, Operations
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the physical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of infrastructure within our data center facilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our data center operations.
Core Responsibilities:
Install and maintain data center infrastructure including servers, racks, networking equipment, and storage devices.
Perform structured cabling installations and maintenance to ensure optimal connectivity and organization within the data center environment.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and cabling issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted operations.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and performance of data center equipment.
Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, configurations, and maintenance activities for reference and audit purposes.
Coordinate with other teams including network engineers, system administrators, and facilities personnel to support data center operations and projects.
Follow industry best practices and standards for data center operations, including safety protocols and security measures.
Respond to data center emergencies and outages as needed, including after-hours and on-call support.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant college degree preferred.
  • Min 5 years or experience (preferred)
  • Prior experience in data center operations, infrastructure installation, or related field.
  • Proficiency in structured cabling techniques and standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
