Job description


  • Administer and support Oracle 19c databases in a Data Guard configuration (1 primary, 2 standbys)
  • Manage and maintain Oracle Data Guard using Data Guard Broker
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Fast-Start Failover (FSFO) including multiple observers across distributed environments
  • Perform routine and emergency patching (RU/CPU), including planning, testing, and post-patch validation
  • Monitor database health, performance, and availability using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Execute and validate switchover and failover operations, including reinstatement of the primary database
  • Troubleshoot Data Guard issues such as transport/apply lag, archive gaps, and broker-related errors
  • Maintain backup and recovery processes using RMAN, including support for FRA and flashback features
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 19c on Linux (non-RAC)
  • Proven expertise with Data Guard Broker and FSFO in multi-standby environments
  • Solid experience with Oracle patching and lifecycle management
  • Working knowledge of OEM for monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis
  • Experience with RMAN backup/recovery and Flashback Database
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting
  • Experience supporting multi-site observer configurations
  • Familiarity with performance tuning (AWR/ASH)

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Role - Sr. Oracle Database Administrator with 10+ years Oracle database administration experience supporting large scale or enterprise level database services.
  • 10 + years' experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Oracle's database.Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
  • Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery.
  • Experience with DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration.
  • BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years' experience.
  • Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.
  • Top Secret SCI with LS poly.
  • Security + CE required.
  • Duty hours are TBD based on needs

Desired: Currently holds or recently held SYS3 PRIVAC level.
