Job Summary:
T1 Energy Inc. is focused on revitalizing solar manufacturing in the U.S. by establishing a domestic solar supply chain. They are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to ensure database reliability across various environments, manage high availability and disaster recovery, and optimize performance for mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities:
• Administer Oracle Database environments, including Oracle ERP and Data Guard (ADG).
• Manage SQL Server 2019, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases across production and non-production systems.
• Perform installations, configuration, patching, upgrade, cloning, and migrations.
• Monitor database health, capacity, availability, and performance.
• Maintain and optimize Oracle Data Guard (ADG) environments.
• Design and execute backup and recovery strategies (RMAN and native tools).
• Regularly test failover and disaster recovery procedures.
• Ensure RPO and RTO objectives are consistently met.
• Diagnose and resolve database performance issues.
• Optimize queries, indexing strategies, execution plans, and storage utilization.
• Partner with ERP, WMS, MES, and reporting teams to improve overall system performance.
• Implement database security best practices including role-based access, encryption, and auditing.
• Manage access controls and enforce separation of duties.
• Support audit requirements and vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Partner with IT Security on database hardening initiatives.
• Automate routine DBA activities using SQL, PL/SQL, Shell, PowerShell, or similar scripting tools.
• Develop and maintain database standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to system architecture and infrastructure planning.
• Manage escalations and service requests with Oracle, Microsoft, and other vendors.
• Support ERP upgrades, system implementations, and infrastructure projects.
• Provide database architecture input for new applications and system designs.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years of enterprise DBA experience.
• Strong experience in Oracle Database administration.
• Proven experience with Oracle Data Guard (ADG).
• Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server 2019.
• Working knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Deep experience in backup/recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
