Job Title: Senior Oracle DBA (Exadata & EBS Expert)
Location: Newark, NJ
Work Type: Hybrid (Local candidates only. Onsite interview required.)


Required Experience:

  • 20+ years: Oracle DBA
  • 6+ years each: Upgrades (11g to 19c), Exadata, Oracle E-Business Suite R12, RAC/ASM/Data Guard/RMAN/OEM, SQL/PLSQL/Linux


Role Summary:
Serve as a senior technical authority driving database modernization, cloud migration (OCI/ExaCS), and hybrid architectures. Lead the hardest technical challenges while mentoring DBAs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Architecture: Lead enterprise upgrades, consolidation, and cloud migration; define standards and roadmaps.
  • Upgrades: Own full lifecycle Oracle upgrades (11g → 19c) with minimal downtime.
  • Cloud Migration: Lead on-prem to OCI migration; design hybrid architectures; build automation (Shell/Python/Ansible/Terraform).
  • Exadata & EBS: Tune Exadata (cells, compute nodes); support EBS R12; resolve RAC/ASM performance issues.
  • Performance: Lead AWR/ASH/ADDM tuning for OLTP/batch workloads.
  • HA/DR & Security: Architect Data Guard, encryption, auditing, and incident response.
  • Collaboration: Mentor junior DBAs; partner with app, infra, and cloud teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi-cloud/hybrid experience, Terraform/Ansible, WebLogic/SOA Suite, Oracle certifications (OCP/OCM/OCI).
