What you'll do:

Job Description Summary
As a Senior Business Data Governance Analyst you'll be a catalyst for driving Enterprise data & analytics solutions. You'll ensure the alignment of data requirements between business and technology teams by working alongside the teams to understand business processes and data flows. You'll also provide expertise in analytics and visualization as it relates to Western Alliance Bank's Enterprise Data Platform and Business Lines Analytical Data Stores.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and document requirements, including process mapping, source system analysis, and source-to-target data mapping.
  • Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders and IT for data solution implementation

  • Implement data quality management initiatives by defining and developing data quality rules, designing dashboards, integrating with the business glossary, and automating the end-to-end process.

  • Create data visualizations using Power BI to explain data analysis recommendations

What you'll need:

  • 3+ years of related experience in Data Analytics & Data Management or a similar field.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required.

  • Intermediate experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL Server, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Intermediate experience with RDBMS and query language such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, Spark SQL=U. Experience using data profiling/wrangling tools like informatica (preferred), Collibra, Alteryx.

  • Experience with project management and managing multiple priorities and deliverables along with 5+ years' experience with data analysis, enterprise data warehouse, and source to target mapping.

  • Intermediate experience presenting findings from large datasets in a clear, actionable way.

  • Experience with predictive modeling, statistical analysis, or machine learning preferred.

  • Experience in Agile, SAFe, and/or Scrum, and experience working with data governance and integrating data quality, catalog, and lineage preferred.

  • Certifications within Microsoft such as Azure Fundamentals or Fabric is preferred.
