Job Description

Develops high level frameworks that align IT infrastructure with business processes/data to support and enable the execution of business strategies, to improve the efficiency and productivity of business operations, and to better connect business objectives to the people, process, technology and data changes required to achieve results. Maps the relationships between information systems components (i.e., end users, business processes, applications, data, IT platform hardware/software, info security and networks). Identifies key interactions and dependencies across separate systems and platforms. Evaluates the total cost of ownership and return on investment of various architecture alternatives.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business products and technology to define target/future state architecture optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, using both Cloud Native and On-prem solutions.

  • Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering teams, enforcing best practices, and aligning technical delivery with strategic architecture principles.

  • Leadership experience driving technology transformation, modernization, and large-scale program delivery, preferably in the banking/finance industrysupporting highvolume payments products in a multi-tenant environment.

  • Proven track record in digital transformation, Data Lakehouse architecture, cloud migration (Azure/AWS), application engineering and IT program management.

  • Proven leadership implementing data governance, security, and compliance controls aligned to PCI DSS, SOX, GDPR, and regulatory expectations.

  • Hands-on experience withmulti-zone data lake patterns (raw, cleaned/enhanced, curated/trusted, consumption),optimized storage formats, metadata-driven ingestion, and analytics-ready data models. EnablesBI, reporting, customer extracts, data science, and other use cases at enterprise scale.

  • Expertise in realtime and batch data ingestion architectures (Kafka/Event Hubs, Spark, Delta Lake, etc.), including leading design and management of tools/processes/services for comprehensive data ingestion and integration.

  • Experienceleading thedesign and implementation of enterprise data governance frameworks, including data lineage, cataloging, business glossaries, and data quality controls. Ensures end-to-end traceability from source to consumption, improving data trust, auditability, and regulatory compliance.

  • Technical Skills (or similar/equivalent): AWS GLUE, IAM ROLES, LAMBDA, S3 /EFS, REDSHIFT, DMS, KAFKA/EVENT HUB, SNS, SQS, CLOUDWATCH/Event Bridge, AIRFLOW, POSTGRES/ORACLE/DB2, ETC, COLLIBRA, DATABRICKS, DELTA LAKE, PYTHON, SNOWFLAKE, SNOWPIPE / SNOWSQL, SNOWPARK, DATA MODELLING, DATA MANAGEMENT, ETL TOOLS (SPARK, ETC), POWER BI, COGNOS, TABLEAU, CI/CD PIPELINES SUPPORTING DATA LAKEHOUSE

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $139,230.00 - $163,800.00
