Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid – 4 days in office) 
Duration: 6 Months

About the Role
 
We’re looking for a motivated Data Governance Specialist to join our Third-Party Data Acquisition Team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, vendor management, and governance. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and cross-functional business units to acquire and manage third-party data that supports Ford’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal business teams to understand third-party data requirements.
  • Lead the end-to-end data acquisition process — from identifying new vendors and negotiating contracts to managing data onboarding.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Legal teams to review contracts, terms & conditions, and statements of work.
  • Advocate for the reuse and optimization of existing third-party data across internal teams.
  • Ensure data acquisition activities align with Ford’s Data Governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure data quality and contract compliance.
  • Support program management processes for data acquisition and governance initiatives.
Skills & Experience
Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in Data GovernanceProgram Management, or Data Acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of data vendor managementcontract review, and legal coordination.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Preferred:
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise data programs.
  • Knowledge of vendor and contract negotiation best practices.
