Job Summary

Our Data Acquisition Coordinator assists with the intake, auditing, and processing of raw datasets, including voter file records and absentee/early vote data, from state and local offices nationwide. As the first step in our broader data pipeline, this role is foundational to the accuracy and quality of the data product we deliver to clients. This role reports to the Data Acquisition Manager within the Master Data Management department.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with state and local offices nationwide to collect voter file and absentee & early vote data files
  • Complete necessary data request forms accurately and timely to ensure data is received promptly
  • Import and audit incoming voter files and absentee & early vote data files to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Set up and monitor automated ETL pipelines through Microsoft Azure Data Factory to ensure quick and accurate data import and processing
  • Utilize Microsoft SQL and Excel to access, sort, organize, understand, and clean incoming data files
  • Create and maintain stored procedures for data files to ensure accuracy
  • Serve as a trusted point-of-contact for other internal teams regarding timelines and statuses
  • Research and understand key election dates and deadlines nationwide
  • Field and fulfill ad hoc projects from Client Services department regarding unique data file requests
Skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Comfortability with large, imperfect, raw datasets
  • Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines and priorities
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in political or data related field
  • Previous internship experience, preferably in politics, campaigns, or a data related field
  • Familiarity with or interest in conservative politics, election cycles, and campaigns
  • Flexibility to temporarily work early, late, or weekend hours during peak election seasons, as needed
