Zimmerman Associates, Inc. (ZAI) is seeking a Subject Matter Expert I to support one of our large federal agency clients in an onsite role located in College Park, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting regulatory document processing, records and information management (RIM), and data analysis, and be motivated, detail-oriented, and client-focused to join our highly collaborative and customer-oriented team.
The objective of this effort is to support the operation of a Document Control Unit by delivering records and information management services across the full lifecycle of records. This includes submission processing, digitization, data entry, quality control, and management of physical and electronic repositories, while supporting the transition to a more efficient, compliant, and largely electronic records environment.
Pay Range: $70,000 - $75,000
Primary Responsibilities- Serve as a subject matter expert in regulatory document analysis, coding, and data standardization
- Abstract and input data from regulatory applications and complex scientific documents into designated systems
- Triage regulatory documents and scientific materials and gather additional information as needed
- Edit, summarize, compile, and track documentation and related data
- Conduct records inventories and support the development of file plans and records control schedules
- Perform document scanning and conversion of physical records to electronic formats
- Execute data validation and quality control to ensure accuracy and completeness of records
- Develop reports, track project progress, and provide regular status updates
- Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to all federal rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Records Management, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with regulatory document processing, records management, or scientific data analysis
- Demonstrated ability to abstract and analyze data from regulatory or scientific materials
- Proficiency in document editing, summarizing, tracking, and organizing information
- Experience performing data validation and quality control
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Federal records management experience required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
