About the Role:
The Warranty Clerk plays a crucial role in assisting the Warranty Administrator to ensure customer satisfaction by managing warranty claims efficiently and accurately. This position involves processing warranty requests, verifying eligibility, and coordinating with service departments to facilitate product installations and repairs. The Warranty Clerk will also maintain detailed records of all warranty transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and manufacturer guidelines. By effectively communicating with customers and service personnel, the Warranty Clerk helps to resolve issues promptly, contributing to the overall success of the retail operation. Ultimately, this role is essential in fostering trust and loyalty among customers by providing exceptional service and support.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in automotive parts and warranty claims processing.
  • Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a retail trade environment.
  • Familiarity with service department operations and product installation activities.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.
Responsibilities:
  • Process warranty claims and ensure all necessary documentation are complete and accurate in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate with the Service Manager regarding any issues that may be present.
  • Work with the Parts Manager with parts scrapping and Core returns.
  • Help make everything compliant for Warranty process which is asked of from General Motors and Dealer agreement to protect the dealer.
  • Post credit memos and adjust accordingly, anything which needs to be written off, discuss with Controller and Service Manager.
  • Maintain organized records of warranty transactions and customer interactions in the database.
  • Answer multi-line phone calls, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to warranty claims and automotive parts.
