We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to support a healthcare organization in Norfolk, Virginia through a Contract assignment. This position is well suited to someone who works accurately, manages repetitive tasks with consistency, and takes pride in maintaining reliable records. The ideal candidate brings strong keyboarding ability, careful attention to detail, and confidence working with digital information in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Enter patient, administrative, and operational information into computer systems with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Review documents for completeness and verify details before updating electronic records.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date data files to support daily healthcare operations.
• Identify discrepancies, missing information, or formatting issues and escalate concerns when needed.
• Perform routine quality checks to help ensure data integrity across multiple records and databases.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion while following privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Support department workflows by processing assigned data entry tasks within established timelines.• At least 2 years of experience in data entry or a closely related administrative support role.
• Strong typing skills with the ability to enter both text and numeric information accurately.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free work.
• Comfort using computer-based systems, databases, and standard office software.
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining speed, consistency, and focus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for clarifying information when needed.
• Experience working in a healthcare or regulated environment is preferred.
