Job description

E.T.C. Data Entry Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: E.T.C. Data Entry Assistant performs timely maintenance of data in the inventory and ordering system. Handles all duties in a manner befitting a representative of the University. Works under little supervision after training period. May be required to have key, card swipe or safe access. This position performs tasks and job responsibilities that are at a level equivalent to a University staff member. Specialized skills are required to perform highly complex tasks. A high level of accountability from management and the public is expected.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Inputs data to the inventory and purchasing system relevant to purchase orders and receipts. Makes changes to food and supply costs as needed.
  • Assists with cost transfers of supplies, goods or services inter department
  • Occasionally adds products and pricing to the register system
  • Count/audit register cash funds and deposits
  • Assist in opening and closing duties of the store, unsupervised, when called upon to do so during emergencies or special circumstances.
  • Helps with monthly inventory, both in active counting of goods, auditing physical count sheets and conducts data entry of inventory values.
  • Occasional stocking of store, including refrigerators, freezers, and shelves.
  • Assists with confidential data management
  • Assists with general office organizational upkeep and office related tasks (printing, scanning, copying, filing, data backup and files/data organization)
  • Other tasks and projects as requested by the manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic data entry skills (inputting information into spreadsheets, forms, inventory management systems or otherwise)
  • Flexible availability
  • High levels of organization and efficiency
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently count inventory
  • Must sign confidentiality agreement and be able to utilize, store and process confidential information.
  • Business-, Accounting, Mathematics-, or Computer-related major preferred

Minimum 6 hours/week

Hours worked must be scheduled within days/times listed below:

Monday - Friday: 4pm-8pm

Saturday and Sunday: 11am-8pm

Pay Grade: Student 3 (Starting at $14.45)
