SUMMARY: The data entry specialist manages and maintains all inventory by tracking products in the warehouse. Oversee finished goods and raw material and works closely with finance and procurement to ensure timely reporting and accuracy at all times. Candidate must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter data into computer system accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure documents meet established standards.
  • Enters expected product in system, so that warehouse can receive.
  • Enter product costs and charges.
  • Ensure for data entry quality control.
  • Issue credits and balance/update in system.
  • Balance and update daily orders.
  • Issue stock checks and balance/verify accuracy.
  • Prepare loads for buyer approval and accounts payable.
  • Managing inventory and filing systems.
  • Allocation of sales that have not been scanned.
  • Billing for trucking company.
  • Finalize and verify repacking.
  • Familiarity with Inventory Management applications
  • Timely and accurate entry of inbound items in the ERP and identify issues or discrepancies
  • Meet supply chain objectives.
  • Provide management with any discrepancies on local purchases and sales.
  • Run final system reports for record keeping.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.


TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: General knowledge of data entry and inventory tracking is necessary. Produce industry experience a plus. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy a must as well as critical thinking skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as a team player on multiple projects and to adapt to a fast-changing environment. Excellent communication and organization skills. Experience with word-processing, database and spreadsheet knowledge preferred. Able to learn new software packages – Prophet & Produce Pro preferred.


WORKING CONDITIONS: This position is located in an office environment with moderate to low noise levels and is typically sedentary. Daily use of a computer and phone system is necessary as well as interaction with staff, candidates and vendors.
