Additional tasks include completing temperature profile surveys on industrial furnaces throughout the facility. This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to perform repetitive motions and climb onto furnace structures.
To become successful in this role the candidate will need to quickly learn and develop a strong understanding of ATI's processes and collaborate with cross functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, and Digital Technologies. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, works effectively with a wide range of personalities, and is comfortable navigating challenging conversations as needed. • Lead engineering projects to enhance furnace data acquisition, chart accuracy, and long-term process traceability.
  • Maintain Furnace Temperature Uniformity Survey Program.
  • Oversee secure storage, retention, and retrieval of short- and long-term furnace records to ensure audit readiness.
  • Provide technical guidance for operations on furnace quality requirements, customer specific heat treat specifications, and industry standards such as AMS 2750
  • Partner with Process Engineering, Quality, and Metallurgy teams to interpret thermal-processing data and ensure compliance with customer and internal specifications.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Material Science, Metallurgical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering specifications, thermal-processing data, and pyrometry requirements.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and quality teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in a heavy-industrial environment and comply with all safety requirements.
  • Comfortable using power tools, measurement devices, and industrial equipment during furnace surveys and calibration activities.
  • Ability to pass vision test requirements
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data-analysis tools to manage and evaluate process data.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or metals-processing environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, AMS 2750, and related quality-system requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other structured continuous-improvement methodologies.
