Join our team supporting the U.S.!! Navy's operational testing of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft. As a Data Analyst, you will work with engineers, pilots, and military operators to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret test data that helps determine whether aircraft systems are operationally effective and suitable for the Fleet. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with large datasets, and turning data into meaningful insights that influence real-world decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning Support (Integrated Evaluation Framework Development)
  • Assist in the development of Critical Operational Issues (COI) for operational assessments and evaluations.
  • Assist in the development of test design framework, in conjunction with mission-based COIs.
  • Support the development of data collection plans through research and analysis to evaluate operational effectiveness and suitability.

Operational Test Exercise Design
  • Devise test matrices and procedures for Integrated Testing and Operational Test (OT).
  • Determine data collection/reduction/reconstruction requirements.
  • Assist in designing and planning test operations in support Operational Test (OT).
  • Observe test events to collect test data and provide technical reports.

Test Operations Evaluation Support
  • Assist in briefing test/exercise participants, emphasizing the event objectives and specific data-gathering requirements for each participant.

Test Analysis and Reporting
  • Perform data reduction and analysis of data to ensure data validity, prior to more detailed data processing.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, uncover insights, and answer key operational performance questions.
  • Correlate data using statistical techniques to analyze operational effectiveness and suitability tests.
  • Apply analytical techniques and critical thinking to explore data, identify patterns to support informed decision-making.
  • Assist in the development of deficiency reports (blue/gold sheets).
  • Assist in the development of draft test reports.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM area of study, required.
  • Must have 5 years of experience performing data analysis in a Test and Evaluation (T&E) environment, including the collection, validation, interpretation, and reporting of test data to support system performance assessments.
  • Familiarity with analytic tools such as JMP, MATLAB and R Studio, highly desired.
  • Operational test experience and DoD Acquisition experience, desired.
  • Operational experience in Navy aircraft, desired.

Salary Range:
