The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the data center facilities, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of server equipment.ย

Skills and attributes for success:ย 
- Ensure 24/7 operation and security of data centers
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of data center infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
- Develop, implement, and enforce data center policies and procedures
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to support business objectives
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans

Qualifications:ย 
- Strong technical skills to include:
oย ย  Data center infrastructure and network technologies
oย ย  HVAC, UPS, and power distribution systems

oย ย  Capacity / performance planning and lifecycle management
oย ย  Maintain architecture diagrams, rack elevations, and network maps

- Leadership and organizational skills to include:
oย ย  Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
oย ย  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
oย ย  Effective communication and interpersonal skills
oย ย  Strong project management skills

- Familiarity with industry and compliance standards and federal security requirements (e.g., FISMA/NIST, DOJ/USAO policies)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations; AND
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR
- Advanced certifications (e.g., Data Center Certified Associate, Certified Data Center Professional) preferred
