Job description

Job Title: Datacenter H&F Engineer (24x7 Shift Operations)

Location: Location - Englewood, CO
Work Schedule: 24x7 rotational shifts (including night shifts)


Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Datacenter H&F Engineer to support and manage data center infrastructure operations in a 24x7 environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data center hardware, cabling, and infrastructure support, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7 operational support for data center infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and racks
  • Perform hands-on data center activities such as racking, stacking, cabling, decommissioning, and break-fix support
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware including servers, storage systems, routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Manage and maintain fiber and copper cabling, patch panels, and cross-connects
  • Support capacity planning activities including rack space, power, and cooling requirements
  • Monitor data center systems and perform routine maintenance activities
  • Handle incidents and service requests while adhering to defined SLAs
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware support, installations, and issue resolution
  • Assist project teams with new deployments and decommissioning activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure support
  • Hands-on experience with data center hardware and physical infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Racking, cabling, and hardware installation
    • Break-fix and troubleshooting activities
    • Patch panels and cross-connects
  • Experience with console access and remote management tools (iLO/iDRAC)
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow
  • Understanding of SLA-driven support environments
  • Experience working in 24x7 shift-based roles (including night shifts)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • Experience with data center monitoring and operational tools
  • Knowledge of capacity planning (power, cooling, rack space)
  • Strong coordination skills with cross-functional and vendor teams
