Job description

Job Title: Sr Data Center Tech ("Pit Crew Team")

Location: Colorado Springs

Duration: 6 months to start (potentially long term)

Notes This role will sit on the client's team that s focused on next gen products and as a result, this person needs to be an All-Star at what they do. This team requires a higher level of attention to detail, a higher-level skill and a higher level of responsibility. The term Pit Crew is because the manager views this team as a Pit Crew for a Formula Racing team where only the best of the best engineers are employed

Job Description:

Our client is working on next generation data center equipment and they need responsible, skilled, technical help build these super computers.

Qualifications include:

  • Strong data center experience with rack and stack
  • Minimum of 5 years on-prem large scale data center experience supporting the Data Center equipment and/or infrastructure (Power, Space, Cooling, Equipment)
  • Strong cabling skills, cable management and dressing
  • Strong NW troubleshooting experience, ideally with Supermicro Servers, Infiniband Fabric and Mellanox, Arista Hardware
  • Strong attention to detail, independent and out of box thinking
  • Solid skills in UNIX (Ubuntu or RedHat) administration and knowledge of basic commands including logging into the server s to monitor for disk failures, etc.
  • Advanced Break fix server expertise
  • Experience with Liquid Cooling
  • Soldering experience
