Constant's Infrastructure Operations team is seeking a highly experienced Data Center Infrastructure Architect to design and implement enterprise-grade server and network infrastructure across our data center facilities. This role focuses on the physical layer of networks, servers, and data center infrastructure ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of the environment while aligning with business and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will bridge strategic planning and hands-on engineering, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and operational efficiency of the IT & data center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and Design Network, Server, and GPU Infrastructure:
  • Architect and design the physical infrastructure to support data center scale deployments of networks, servers, and GPU including rack layouts, components, cable management, power, and cooling requirements.
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to define and develop the hardware deployment strategies and designs needed to support business, scalability, redundancy, and security requirements.
  • Create and evaluate hardware BOMs for deployments to ensure that they meet business and design requirements.
  • Create documentation, drawings, cable schedules, and technical documentation required by both technical and non-technical audiences.

Installation and Implementation Oversight:
  • Partner with facilities, vendors, and onsite contractors to successfully build and turn up new facilities and hardware deployments.
  • Validate installation and connections against design specifications
  • Work with internal teams and contractors to troubleshoot and resolve any issues found with the hardware or connectivity.

Communication & Project Management:
  • Work in conjunction with project management teams and other stakeholders to manage the physical infrastructure aspects of projects.
  • Create and maintain documentation for physical infrastructure as well as assist in training other technical teams on physical infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in server infrastructure, with at least 3 years in an architecture or design role.
  • Experience with colocation, hyperscale, or enterprise-class data centers providers.
  • Deep understanding of network hardware, designs, and cabling
  • Expertise in server hardware components, server configurations, and storage systems.
  • In depth knowledge of data center facility equipment, operations, and design standards including power, cooling, cabling, monitoring, and operations.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and common Network OS platforms.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading large-scale data center projects from conception to completion.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Compensation:
$125,000 - $140,000
This salary can vary based on location, years of experience, background and skill set.
