Job description

Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the structured cabling and network infrastructure within the data center facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Pull, dress, and secure cabling
  • Install support structures like ladder racks and cable trays
  • Accurately label cables and devices in accordance with data center documentation standards
  • Ensure proper functionality and compliance with industry standards
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as testing connections and checking equipment performance
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Carry and load materials on jobsite and maintain inventory
  • Read and understand blueprints and diagrams
  • Safety training as required by position
  • Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed

Essential Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate, listen effectively, and work well with customers, employees, etc.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience working with telecommunications systems

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to climb ladders, stand, reach and hold objects for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work both outside and inside during all weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
