The Buying Center Analyst will design, analyze, test and support the procurement processes within SAP, Business Warehouse, and Blue Yonder which enable the Buying Centers to achieve their goals and objectives. The primary focus is to support the Buying Centers within the hardgoods business unit at Airgas, Inc. In particular you will:
  • Prepare monthly analysis of retail and non-retail equipment consumption, inventory values and days on hand for the VP of Hardgoods.
  • Create and maintain weekly divisional material master databases, which are used to support procurement decisions made by the Director of Purchasing and the Buying Center Managers.
  • Facilitate management's alignment of purchasing operations by preparing monthly regional databases for use in analyzing and communicating plant performance.
  • Cultivate and support the bolt-on and retail equipment signup database, providing maintenance, performance analysis, and SAP validation.
  • Perform Regional and Distribution Center cost analysis for large volume Hardgoods purchases and write-offs.
  • Connect with management and end users to define technical specifications for system enhancements and provide performance testing.
  • Plan, coordinate, prepare and submit scheduled and ad hoc reports, assisting management's advancement of procurement and inventory control.
  • Define new and advance existing reporting processes, using SAP (SE16/SQVI), Business Warehouse and Blue Yonder systems.
  • Create and maintain written documentation for regularly scheduled reports, processes and solutions.
  • Research SAP core functionality to satisfy management analysis requests.
  • Document SAP data structure, relationships, formulas, queries and Visual Basic code.
  • Provide workload balance analysis for Buying Center personnel and Distribution Center order fulfillment.
  • Work both independently and as a collaborative partner, with trust provided to guide meaningful decision-making.

Are you a MATCH?
Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in an analyst function, preferably in an application support role.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis being placed on Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with basic supply chain business processes is recommended, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Blue Yonder, SAP or other supply chain software applications is recommended, but not required.
  • Foundational knowledge of SQL and/or Visual Basic helpful, but not required.
  • Previous use of SAP T-Codes SQVI (query structure) and SE16 for data extraction recommended, but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both as an individual contributor and as a team member.
  • Creativity and innovation is encouraged.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required - limited.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science and/or business, or equivalent work experience preferred.
