About the Company

We're a fast growing mortgage lender using AI to automate the loan lifecycle and modernize the borrower and broker experience.

The Role

We're seeking an AI Engineer to build and deploy AI agents and automation across the mortgage lifecycle, using AI workflow tools, MCP, AWS Step Functions, and Lambda across a multi cloud AI stack (OpenAI, Anthropic, GCP, Azure).

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Salary range: $140,000 to $165,000 annually, depending on experience
  • Location: Remote
  • Full time, exempt

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy AI agents that handle document analysis, decision support, data extraction, and customer engagement.
  • Build cloud based process flows and integrations using AI workflow tools, MCP, Step Functions, and Lambda, connecting to platforms like LOS, CRM, and POS.
  • Integrate LLMs to support underwriting automation, including document classification, condition management, and routing.
  • Reverse engineer existing systems to identify automation opportunities.
  • Perform data analysis on structured and unstructured mortgage data.
  • Partner with SMEs, product managers, and data teams to scope and iterate on automation targets.
  • Use AI coding tools daily (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, Devin, or equivalent) as a core part of your workflow, not occasional autocomplete. Be ready to walk through real examples in the interview.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in AI application development, automation engineering, or full stack cloud engineering.
  • Hands on experience with agentic frameworks, LLM integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, GCP, or Azure AI/ML services), and AWS Lambda/serverless architecture.
  • Experience with AI workflow orchestration tools, MCP, and third party AI integrations.
  • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, plus RESTful APIs and cloud native integrations.
  • Familiarity with LangChain, Transformers, or similar AI/ML libraries, and SQL/pandas for data analysis.
  • Mortgage or fintech automation experience a plus.
