Overview

EXPLEO USA is looking for a Quality Auditor - Processes & Warranty Coverage to join a dynamic and expanding team in Troy, Michigan.

Responsibilities:

Quality Process & System Audits

  • Conduct Quality Process and System Audits across manufacturing plants and validation laboratories, with a primary focus on European operations.
  • Plan, prepare, execute, and close audits in accordance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
  • Verify compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, ISO 19011, and internal quality standards, including A10 9000 requirements.
  • Identify non-conformities, assess associated risks, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and verify the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.

Warranty Coverage Audits

  • Conduct Warranty Coverage Audits with a primary focus on U.S. aftersales operations and dealer networks.
  • Analyze warranty claims, costs, trends, and supporting documentation to validate warranty coverage requests.
  • Assess warranty-related risks and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Support initiatives aimed at reducing Total Warranty Cost through data-driven decision-making.

Reporting and Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to management and key stakeholders.
  • Track and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) through closure.
  • Support certification activities and quality management system improvements.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean principles and the PDCA methodology.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned across business functions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with manufacturing plants, laboratories, aftersales networks, and Quality, Warranty, and Data Analytics teams.
  • Collaborate with international and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to stakeholders regarding audit findings and compliance requirements.
  • Support global quality initiatives and contribute to organizational excellence programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive quality auditing, quality systems, warranty analysis, manufacturing quality, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting audits within automotive manufacturing, laboratory, or aftersales environments.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality auditing principles and practices.
  • Extensive understanding of (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025,ISO 19011)
  • Experience analyzing warranty claims, warranty costs, and quality trend data.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel and data-driven reporting.
  • Experience utilizing Power BI and digital audit platforms.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and compliance requirements.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Internal auditing techniques.
  • PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology.
  • Lean principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • 8D problem-solving methodology.
  • FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  • 5 Whys Root Cause Analysis.
  • Ishikawa (Fishbone Diagram).
