Job description

As aData Center Technician, you will work closely with Data Center Leads to support the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking equipment, and cabling. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and performance of our data center operations.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Gain a solid understanding of theticket management processand contribute to timely resolution.
  • Learn and applydiagnostic methodsto troubleshoot data center equipment effectively.
  • Accuratelypull and manage inventoryin accordance with established documented processes.
  • Ability to work cross functionally to maintain accurate inventory systems.
  • Develop skills inserver repair techniques, including replacing hard drives, RAM, motherboards, and other components.
  • Assist withphysical tasks, such as moving and racking equipment for special projects.
    • We are Hardware/component replacement focused with the possibility of delving into software in the future
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management to support operational goals.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • AReal IDor other federally accepted identification for U.S. travel.
  • Minimum1 year of general work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of or hands-on experience withcomputer hardware and repair.
  • Ability to travel to supported data center locations.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software and tools.
  • Strongprofessional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability tomulti-taskand manage priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable wearingPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE)for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move at least50 pounds.
  • Capable of walking long distances throughout the day.
  • Willingness to work in environments that may includehot aislesand indoor areas reaching90+ degrees Fahrenheitduring certain times of the year.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least1 year of computer hardware repair experience.
