We are seeking a Data Governance Consultant with 2-4 years of experience to support the design and implementation of data governance and data quality initiatives. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who has exposure to data, analytics, or integrations and is looking to grow into a strategic data role. You will work alongside senior consultants and clients to improve data quality, define standards, and help organizations better manage and trust their data.

Job Responsibilities

  • Data Governance Support
    • Assist in the development and documentation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
    • Support the definition of data domains (e.g., Customer, Finance, Student)
    • Help establish roles such as data owners and data stewards
  • Data Quality & Analysis
    • Perform data profiling and analysis to identify quality issues
    • Support the creation and execution of data quality rules
    • Assist in monitoring and reporting on data quality metrics
    • Help troubleshoot data inconsistencies across systems
  • Metadata & Data Cataloging
    • Document data definitions, business terms, and data lineage
    • Support implementation and maintenance of data catalogs and glossaries
    • Assist in organizing and classifying enterprise data assets
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Participate in workshops and meetings with business and technical teams
    • Gather and document business requirements related to data
    • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
  • Business Development
    • Lead and/or support business development efforts
    • Lead and/or support proposal development and solution design in support of new and expanded client work

Required Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, data governance, data engineering, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or similar
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with datasets
  • Understanding of data concepts:
    • Data quality
    • Data structures
    • Basic ETL processes
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Communication with both technical and business teams
  • Willingness to learn and grow in data governance and strategy

  • Experience with Excel, Power BI, or Tableau Internship or project experience with data governance or MDM concepts
