Job Description:

We are seeking a new Senior Accountant to join the fast growing accounting and finance team. This is a new role at Datavault and will be an integral part of the accounting close and financial reporting process, including SEC reporting. The role will also contribute to process improvements, expanding functionality of systems and integrating acquired entities into the Datavault accounting structure, systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Assist with month-end close, preparing supporting schedules, journal entires and balance sheet reconciliation processes
  • Prepare or review bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies
  • Assist with preparation and review of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) on form 10-Q/K and other SEC related filings
  • Assist with integrating newly acquired companies into Datavault accounting operations
  • Assist with revenue, lease, stock based compensation and purchase accounting entries.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by working with the financial planning and analysis group
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
  • Support external tax preparation by providing requested support
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
  • Monitor and improve accounting systems and internal controls
  • Supervise junior accounting staff (if applicable)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA, or equivalent certification preferred
  • 3–7+ years of accounting experience (depending on organization)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • Experience in accounting software (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle)
  • Advanced Excel skills
