GP Government Solutions has an immediate need for an Electrical Instructor to support a large aerospace client in Huntsville, AL. We are seeking candidates who are able to conduct training covering Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies. This is an onsite position that requires 15% travel.


Job Summary:

  • Confers with management/client to understand work situation. Performs needs, job and task analysis to determine training required for trainees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations and technologies.
  • May recommend plans for development of instructional methods and delivery of individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
  • Selects teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
  • Delivers training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialty.
  • Provides student course exams to measure and evaluate effectiveness and success in the required course material.
  • Evaluates training programs and reports on trainee progress.
  • Maintains training programs and materials.
  • Travels to client sites as needed. (15% travel or less)
  • This role may require work on multiple shifts

Qualifications:

  • Prior demonstrated instructor delivery
  • Electrical knowledge (wires & terminals, through-hole technology, surface mount technology, etc.)
  • J-STD-001 CIT
  • Flexibility is required to support and must be able to work any shift, dependent on the customer needs.

General physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on location of assignment.

Assignment Location – Huntsville, AL

  • Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Fingering (typing), communicating, repetitive motions.
  • Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
  • Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
