Overview

The Project Manager - Data Analytics Lead provides leadership and oversight for data analytics and reporting activities in support of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role is responsible for managing data-focused projects defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and delivery of high-quality analytical products. The Data Analytics Lead supports evidence-based decision-making through the development of executive-level reports, briefings, and documentation while maintaining compliance with VA standards and policies.

Responsibilities
  • Manage data analytics projects in accordance with PWS requirements and contract objectives
  • Oversee government program data collection, data modeling, and analytical activities
  • Ensure the development of accurate, timely, and actionable analytical products to support VA leadership
  • Lead the preparation of executive-level reports, briefings, dashboards, and documentation deliverables
  • Coordinate with VA stakeholders to validate data requirements, methodologies, and outputs
  • Monitor project schedules, risks, and performance metrics to ensure timely delivery of analytics products
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with applicable federal standards and policies
  • Provide direction and oversight to contractor personnel supporting data analytics tasks
  • Maintain professional conduct and ensure contractor activities positively represent the VA
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience managing projects as defined in the PWS
  • Demonstrated experience managing government program data activities, including:
  • Proven experience preparing executive-level reports, briefings, and documentation deliverables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with office automation tools and data analysis software
  • All contractor personnel must meet VA Personal Security requirements
  • Personnel must maintain professional conduct that positively represents the VA
  • This position serves in a support role; final VA business decisions are made by Government personnel
  • Priority may be given to individuals with prior experience supporting this effort, contingent upon acceptable performance
Desired Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent industry-recognized project management certification (preferred; must be maintained if held)
  • Experience supporting VA, DoD, or other federal civilian agencies
  • Experience developing dashboards, performance metrics, and decision-support tools
  • Familiarity with federal data governance, reporting standards, and compliance requirements
