Management Concepts, Inc. is currently recruiting for Analytics Instructors to work on an independent-contractor basis.  Do you have a passion for turning data in actionable insights?  Can you explain how to apply statistics, data collection, data analysis, and reporting in an   easy-to-understand way?  Are you a wizard with multiple versions of Excel?  If so, we’d love to hear from you.  Candidates should have experience using data analytics for problem-solving.

Instructor Excellence

All Management Concepts Instructors are skilled in the course content, instructional techniques, and adult learning theory.  We require that you present information in an objective, unbiased manner.  At the same time, you add value to the written material by offering relevant illustrations or experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Facilitate open enrollment and onsite client training
  • Serve as subject matter expert when delivering training sessions
  • Conduct training session 1-5 days in length for up to 30 participants
  • Provide feedback to MC after each engagement
  • Facilitate learning according to the facilitator’s guide and adhere to course objectives and schedule

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of how to use basic or intermediate statistics, operations research, and/or decision modeling to enable data-driven decisions and problem solving
  • Ability to facilitate others’ development of analytics skills using structured materials and hands-on activities
  • Strong knowledge of Excel in Microsoft Windows
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex topics and facilitate participants’ understanding
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (relationship building, influencing, active listening)
  • Strong internal and external customer and quality orientation
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision

Required Skills

  • Masters degree in operations research or management, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field, or a minimum of five years of experience as a practitioner
  • Applied experience in analysis and financial or other decision-making models
  • Understands and demonstrates engaging adult learning theories and approaches
  • Hands-on experience working with internal or external Federal clients preferred
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in education or training delivery preferred
