IT Data Analyst | SQL, Power BI & Business Intelligence
Hillyard, Inc. is currently seeking an IT Data Analyst to join our Information Technology team in St. Joseph, MO.
Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights? Do you enjoy solving business challenges, building meaningful dashboards, and helping leaders make data-driven decisions?
As an IT Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting business intelligence, reporting, and analytics initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with business and technical teams to develop reporting solutions, identify trends, improve data quality, and deliver insights that support operational excellence and strategic growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional who enjoys working with SQL, Power BI, data modeling, and analytics while partnering with stakeholders throughout the organization.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support business decision-making.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Analyze data from multiple systems to identify trends, opportunities, and operational improvements.
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions, data models, and business intelligence tools.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.
  • Evaluate changes to source systems and assess their impact on reporting and analytics.
  • Create and optimize data flows, reporting processes, and ETL solutions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support ongoing data governance, reporting enhancements, and business intelligence initiatives.

Qualifications Include
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
