Position Summary Information
Responsibilities
Data Reporting and Visualization
Design, develop, and maintain operational and strategic reports and dashboards using Evisions Argos and Microsoft Power BI to support decision-making across the University.
Data Extraction and System Analysis
Extract, transform, and analyze data from Ellucian Banner ERP and other institutional systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of information.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Finance, Human Resources, Student Business Services, Procurement, and Facilities to identify reporting needs and deliver tailored data solutions.
Process Automation and Efficiency
Develop and implement automated reporting processes and workflows to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
Data Governance and Integrity
Establish and maintain standards for data definitions, report logic, and data quality; ensure consistency and reliability of institutional reporting.
Training and Data Literacy Support
Provide guidance and training to staff on reporting tools and data usage to enhance overall data literacy across the division.
Decision Support and Strategic Analysis
Analyze trends, develop forecasts, and provide insights to leadership to support financial planning, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives.
Audit and Fiscal Year Support
Assist with data preparation, validation, and reporting during audits and fiscal year-end processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
Experience working with enterprise systems, preferably Ellucian Banner ERP or a similar ERP
Proficiency in reporting tools such as Evisions Argos and/or Microsoft Power BI
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large and complex data sets
Experience with data extraction, validation, and reporting
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Salary Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university's resources. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Experience working with enterprise systems, preferably Ellucian Banner ERP or a similar ERP platform
  • Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools such as Evisions Argos and/or Microsoft Power BI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Experience with data extraction, transformation, and validation processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or Information Systems)
Experience in higher education or a similarly complex organizational environment
Knowledge of SQL or other query languages for data analysis and reporting
Experience with process automation and workflow optimization
Understanding of financial, HR, or student data structures within an ERP system
Experience supporting audits, budgeting, or financial reporting processes
