Business Analyst - Data Integration: (Federal / Manpower & Budget)

SUMMARY:

The Concourse Group is looking for a mid-level Business Analyst and Data Analytics Integrator with demonstrated experience in data integration, dashboard development, and workforce analytics, with the ability to work in a small team environment within our Federal service group.

The successful candidate will provide workforce analytics, manpower analysis, and enterprise data integration support to the Georgia Army National Guard Human Resources Office (HRO), which is based in Marietta, GA. This position will be embedded within the client program and will be responsible for executing all day-to-day data integration, analytics development, and dashboard delivery activities. The position requires in-office work with direct client interaction. Some hybrid hours may be available based on program needs and client requirements.

ROLE PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE EXPECTATION

The Business Analyst and Data Analytics Integrator will have 3-5 years of professional experience supporting data analytics, reporting, budget tracking, or operational business intelligence in structured, enterprise environments. Proven ability to automate reporting processes, improve data accuracy, and support decision-making across manpower and financial domains.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong skills in Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft Excel for structured analysis and data transformation

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute data ingestion, extraction, transformation, validation, and integration tasks across personnel and financial source systems aligned with the approved architecture
  • Develop, update, and maintain Power BI dashboards and supporting datasets with defined refresh schedules
  • Perform structured data quality checks, discrepancy identification, and exception tracking. Support analytical and predictive modeling inputs under senior technical direction
  • Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures
  • Participate in recurring review sessions and incorporate directed refinements
  • Develop workforce forecasting and predictive analytics models
  • Build vacancy tracking and hiring projection tools
  • Monitor personnel actions and workforce lifecycle metrics
  • Create budget and status-of-funds dashboards
  • Develop executive-level reports and visualizations for leadership
  • Identify data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
  • Support leadership briefings, inspections, and data validation reviews
  • Support process improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis
  • Ensure analytics products meet defined accuracy, reliability, and refresh standards

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field
  2. 3-5 years of experience supporting data analysis, reporting, or system-based analytics
  3. Ability to communicate findings to senior leadership both orally and in writing
  4. Experience working with enterprise-scale datasets (e.g., HR, financial, operational, or workforce systems)
  5. Advanced experience developing Power BI dashboards and executive reporting
  6. Experience developing dashboards and executive reporting
  7. Working knowledge of data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for structured analysis and data transformation
  9. Ability to document analytical logic, business rules, and data definitions clearly
  10. Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder coordination
  11. Ability to operate within controlled, audit-sensitive environments

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  1. Army National Guard, Army HRO, or DoD manpower experience
  2. Experience supporting workforce planning, personnel management, or budget execution
  3. SQL, Power Query, Power Automate, or similar analytical tools
  4. Experience with General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)
  5. Experience with Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS)
  6. Experience with Full-Time Support Management Control System (FTSMCS)
  7. Experience with ETL processes and automated data refresh cycles
  8. Preference is given to those with direct federal experience.
