Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Data Analyst in Princeton, NJ.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze information from multiple business systems to support operational and product decisions
* Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics
* Prepare, reconcile, and validate datasets to ensure accurate reporting
* Identify trends, data inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement
* Investigate reporting issues and recommend practical corrective actions
* Establish data quality controls, validation standards, and monitoring procedures
* Maintain reference data and business-managed data tables
* Partner with business and technical teams to translate needs into effective solutions
* Troubleshoot system defects, assess business impact, and support resolution efforts
* Document requirements, process flows, data mappings, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Participate in testing, release validation, and production support activities
* Evaluate data movement across operational platforms and downstream reporting environments
* Promote automation, self-service reporting, and continuous process improvement
* Communicate technical findings and project updates to business stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2 to 5 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, systems analysis, or a related role
* Experience supporting reporting platforms, operational systems, or data-driven business functions
* Property and casualty insurance experience preferred
* Knowledge of underwriting, policy administration, claims, or insurance operations is beneficial
* Strong SQL skills with experience analyzing and manipulating large datasets
* Experience creating reports and visualizations with Power BI or a comparable analytics platform
* Advanced Excel skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
* Experience with data validation, reconciliation, testing, and issue investigation
* Familiarity with Agile practices and project management or documentation tools
* Understanding of system integrations, data transformations, and application interfaces preferred
* Exposure to insurance technology platforms is a plus
* Interest in artificial intelligence and emerging analytics capabilities is beneficial
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
