Logistics Management Specialist (Data Analyst)

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Logistics Management Specialist (data Analyst) (GS-0346-11) to work for Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the 635 SCOW, at Langley Air Force Base located in Hampton, Virginia. 2026 Salary Range ($75,788 - $98,530) yearly w/ locality Job Open Date: 8/26/2026 Job Close Date: 9/9/2026 Who may apply: All U.S. Citizens

Responsibilities
  • To serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in support Common Aviation Support Equipment (CAvSE) acquisition phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment.
  • Provide maintenance data analysis to assist Product Groups develop funding inputs and procurement requirements that influence supply and readiness levels.
  • Assess system/equipment performance and identify problem areas or deficiencies; provide recommendations on improvements and modernization requirements.
  • Serve as representative and spokesperson in communicating CAvSE data program matters, support senior leaders in making data driven decisions.
Requirements
  • Obtain & maintain a security clearance
  • May be required to travel to perform temporary duty
  • Certifications/Licensure
  • May have extended/other than normal duty hours
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
  • 1. Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, business intelligence tools, and relational database models; ability to analyze data, correlate relationships and identify trends.
  • 2. Skilled in programming and data query languages such as Python, R, or SQL
  • 3. Ability to present data visualizations such as charts, metrics, and graphs that effectively communicate findings and insight. Proficient in programs such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
  • 4. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, and acquisition.
  • 5. Knowledge of maintenance management principles, ability to monitor maintenance information systems (MIS) to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; prepare and present information to senior leadership.
