Job description

Tharros supports HQ ACC Flight Operations Division (A3T) with combat readiness and training of the Combat Air Forces. Support includes technical and subject matter expertise to develop and oversee policy for ACC flight operations, aircrew flying training, mission operations, and formal training programs.As part of this mission, we have a key opportunity for aCombat Air Force Data Analyst.

The CAF Data Analystwill provide advisory, analytical, and administrative support to the A3 and A3 Deputy Directors in their execution of the CAF Developmental Team (DT) process. In this role, your contributions enable the Government to facilitate meaningful career progression, develop warfighter and leadership skills, and build a qualified pool of candidates for key Air Force and joint positions. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and administer CAF DT data products under Government direction, including DE records, DT board results, and data transformation pipelines. Recommend access permissions for Government approval; the Government retains authority to grant, modify, or revoke access.
  • Conducts and provides analysis in support of the DT Chair and responds to analytical requests from the DT Chair or community leads.
  • Prepares and compiles all necessary materials for the DT to allow the DT Chair and community leads to vector and adjust command boards, IDE/SDE (Intermediate Developmental Education/Senior Developmental Education) activation, and outplacement vectors.
  • Provide analysis and advice on CAF DE (Developmental Education) Program Vectors, Outplacement, and Seat Management, CAF Squadron Command Candidate Board Nomination and Results Personnel Services Delivery Memorandums (PSDM), Barrier Analysis Working Group (BAWG) Actions.
  • Maintain CAF DT Talent Management Dashboard/Analytics/Data Management.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for all DT events: Spring DT, OG (Officer Grade) Records Review, Fall DT.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Government for boards and records scoring administration.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to facilitate Government coordination between A1 and AFPC on IDE/SDE declinations, deferments, vectors/revectors, and alternate management; squadron commander DT PSDM creation, routing, and publishing; primary student and squadron command candidate vectoring; OG Records Review; and outplacement.
  • Draft recommendations and correspondence, for Government review and approval, on matters within the CAF DT process.
