Market Research And Analysis Specialist

This is a great opportunity to join an exciting business with high growth potential for the right candidate. This person will be responsible for the development of market research and analysis for assigned products, markets and territories. The person will assist with research and analysis required to inform the strategic planning, operational planning and channel to market for the business's multiple brands including but not limited to market mapping, competitive assessments, trend analysis for key performance metrics such as sales, orders, pricing, share gain, attrition, profitability etc.

Key deliverables include monthly/quarterly assessment of key distribution partners' performance to drive alignment and best practices. This role will also support Salesforce Sales Cloud administration across regions as needed, including user support coordination, data quality review, report and dashboard support, workflow/process documentation, and alignment of Sales Cloud capabilities with regional sales processes. The role will further support channel market intelligence by applying AI-enabled tools and evaluating other practical analytics options to improve partner research, competitive benchmarking, trend monitoring, and opportunity identification and industry analysis. Unpack and share findings on a regular basis to the Sales Team and prepare reports accordingly to advise Crane leadership on progress.

Main duties:

  • Researches existing and potential channel partners across the Americas region for multiple CP&E brands and competition.
  • Develops channel market intelligence using AI-enabled tools to accelerate partner research, summarize market signals, compare channel coverage, and identify growth opportunities. Evaluates other analytics or intelligence options where appropriate to improve quality, speed, and repeatability of insights.
  • Analyzes product line data for key performance indicators including but not limited to orders, sales, backlog, pricing, share gain, attrition and profitability and distills them into actionable insights informing business decisions.
  • Provides Salesforce Sales Cloud administration support across regions as needed, including support for users, accounts, opportunities, reports, dashboards, data quality, process documentation, and coordination of enhancement requests with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Supports regional sales teams by helping maintain consistent Salesforce Sales Cloud adoption, reporting standards, and sales process alignment across markets.
  • Effectively communicate insights through charts, tables, and other elements for data visualization to report to senior leadership.
  • Assists VP Sales and Regional Sales Managers in developing and implementing channel to market strategies.
  • Support development of market trends & competitive analysis, identifying areas or opportunities for growth.
  • Develops data analytics to support discussions with customer, sales and marketing personnel, cross-functional departments and customers regarding sales and orders.

Essential qualifications / experience:

Experience/Training/Education:

Required: Bachelor's degree technical field such as Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering/Computer engineering with expertise in Data Analytics.

Knowledge of:

Basic design and manufacturing principals, Bills of Material, marketing and sales principles, methods and practices; applications and sales territories; technical product applications and documentations; customer service principles, practices and procedures. Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud concepts, CRM data structures, sales reporting, dashboards, and AI-enabled research or productivity tools AI.

Skills:

Proficient in advanced data analysis tools such as PowerBI Tableau, SQL, R, Python; Microsoft office programs including advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and all other Microsoft Office tools. Ability to support Salesforce Sales Cloud reports, dashboards, data hygiene activities, user questions, and regional process documentation; ability to apply AI-enabled tools responsibly to strengthen market intelligence and channel analysis. Must have the writing and oral skills to be able to prepare high quality reports and present complex ideas in front of customers and management in English.

Ability to:

Identify market and customer needs and make recommendations; exercise initiative in independently researching and developing data-driven recommendations; prepare clear and concise business correspondence; organize, assign and coordinate work to meet scheduled deadlines including preparation of reports; make mathematical computations quickly and accurately; understand and follow written and verbal instructions; communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers, departmental representatives, sales representatives, management, customers and vendors. Analyze data for trends on business to develop and present insights to leadership team. Coordinate Salesforce Sales Cloud support needs across regions and translate sales process requirements into practical reporting, data, and workflow support actions.
