Summary:
Dorf Ketal Chemicals LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Finance amp; Accounting team. This position is designed for students or recent graduates who are eager to develop their financial acumen, analytical skills, and business understanding within a global chemical company.
The Finance Intern will play a key role in supporting daily financial operations, assisting with management reporting, and contributing to financial planning and analysis activities. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to experience the intersection of corporate finance, accounting, and business strategy in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting amp; Analysis
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure data accuracy across general ledger accounts.
- Compile and interpret financial data to support management decision-making.
- Budgeting amp; Forecasting
- Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Collect and analyze operating and capital expenditure data from various departments.
- Create and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Accounting Operations
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing, invoice tracking, and payment reconciliations.
- Participate in bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing activities.
- Support compliance with corporate financial policies and internal controls.
- Data Analysis amp; Research
- Conduct research on industry benchmarks, market trends, and competitor performance.
- Identify potential areas of cost reduction and process improvement.
- Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with finance, operations, and business teams to ensure financial insights align with company goals.
- Present findings and reports to senior team members in a clear, structured manner.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
