The Technical Data Acquisition Engineer located in Houma, Louisiana is responsible for installing, configuring, and operating data acquisition systems to monitor and record operational parameters in field environments. This role ensures accurate and reliable collection, transmission, and analysis of real-time data to support operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and operate pressure, temperature sensors, flowmeters biphasic and multiphasic using wireless communication systems.
  • Configure, operate, and troubleshoot data acquisition systems and real-time data streaming platforms.
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data collected during operations.
  • Support field operations by providing data monitoring and analysis.
  • Maintain and calibrate data acquisition equipment as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to manage wireless pressure and temperature measurement systems.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems and real-time data streaming technologies.
  • Familiarity with surface well testing operations.
  • Previous certification in surface testing pressure equipment.
  • Completion of formal data acquisition training.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data acquisition engineer role.
    • Experience with Helios System and wellbore data acquisition software
    • Skilled in surface wireless acquisition, Emerson P/T sensors, Coriolis, and multiphase meters
    • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.

    This is an offshore position. Successful candidate will be required to work at the base in between offshore jobs as required. Relocation to Houma will be required.
