The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not guaranteed compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as a discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.GEA Group is searching for a Market Manger to join our team! The Market Manager will drive growth across the liquid processing portfolio by engaging customers, building success stories and strengthening GEA liquid processing positioning in liquid dairy and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Identify target customers and opportunities through market analysis, sales intelligence, portfolio data and Regional Sales Manager input; translate insights into focused selling strategies that increase customer buy-in. 
  • Own the front-end evaluation of new business opportunities by integrating commercial, technical and regulatory inputs into opportunity recommendations, product line feedback and Liquid Horizon roadmap priorities. 
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers, Technical Offer Management-TOM/application engineering and customers to advance qualified pipeline opportunities, clarify scopes, accelerate proposal development and strengthen long-term customer partnerships. 
  • Support pursuit of brownfield, customized liquid processing projects such as line expansions, new lines, added process steps, reception bays, syrup rooms and layouts that include GEA core technologies where possible. 
  • Promote agile project qualification and execution practices, including pre-established sales prequalification criteria, rapid salesโ€“presales alignment, site-based discussions and clear scope alignment. 
  • Lead data-driven portfolio analysis and market prioritization to maximize profitable growth, increase hit rate and focus resources on opportunities where GEA can win competitively. 
  • Accelerate knowledge transfer to Non-Alcoholic Beverages-NAB and Dairy Regional Sales Managers through on-the-job coaching, customer/prospect reviews, technical solution framing and reinforcement of the new Liquid Horizon operating model. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional actions with Sales, Strategy, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Business Line and local contractors to improve competitiveness, standardize core design approaches and reduce response time. 

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Data-driven market and portfolio analysis capability; able to convert sales intelligence into targeted strategies, roadmaps and customer engagement plans. 
  • Self-driven, collaborative and motivated by common departmental goals; comfortable working as part of a cross-functional execution team. 
  • Strong English communication skills both written and verbal, French language skills is a plus.
  • Consultative sales mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills; able to influence customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to travel across the United States and Canada;

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the food production industry, preferably across dairy, beverage, brewing or related liquid processing applications.  
  • Engineering degree (mechanical, industrial, Food, similar).
  • Solid process knowledge of dairy and beverage systems, including process equipment, CIP, filling equipment, separation/clarification, homogenization, membranes (UF, NF, MF, RO), mixing, UHT and blending technologies.
  • Ability to understand customer process needs, pain points and regulatory/commercial constraints and translate them into differentiated technical-commercial solutions.
