Job description

We are looking for a Dispatcher to support service operations in Fishers, Indiana through efficient scheduling and coordination of technician assignments. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly with customers and field teams, and can keep multiple service needs organized at once. The role contributes to a national service organization focused on commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment, helping ensure timely response and dependable customer support. This position will be on-site and the hours are 10:00am-7:00pm Monday through Friday.


Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily technician schedules and assign service calls in a way that improves response times, supports customer commitments, and makes the best use of available resources.

• Monitor incoming requests and adjust routing throughout the day to balance workload, reduce unnecessary travel, and maintain service efficiency.

• Work closely with field technicians to confirm job status, address scheduling changes, and keep service activity moving according to plan.

• Communicate with customers regarding appointment timing, service updates, and expectations to promote a positive service experience.

• Use dispatch and logistics systems to track calls, document updates, and maintain accurate service records.

• Identify opportunities to group calls strategically so the team can complete more work effectively while controlling operational costs.

• Partner with internal teams to help resolve scheduling conflicts, urgent service issues, and other day-to-day coordination needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of experience in dispatching, customer service, restaurant operations, or a related coordination-focused role.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfort navigating Windows-based computer systems.
• Ability to learn new platforms and adapt quickly to proprietary dispatch or service software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across teams and with customers.
• Experience handling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment while maintaining accuracy and organization.
• Background in call center support, logistics coordination, or computer-aided dispatch is a plus.
