Job description

Ozzy's Golden Construction

Superintendent

Bilingual Field Leader -- Luxury Custom Residential

Location: Miami, FL

Lead field operations on luxury residential construction projects.

Ozzy's Golden Construction is a South Florida luxury design-build firm building custom homes, large additions, and high-end renovations with a boutique, hands-on approach. We are hiring a full-time Superintendent to lead daily field operations on luxury custom residential projects from permit through Certificate of Occupancy. This person will manage an in-house crew of skilled tradesmen, coordinate schedules and inspections, serve as the daily client contact, and work hand-in-hand with the company's founder and leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

MAIN FUNCTION -- Field Operations Manager

You own daily field operations on luxury custom home projects:

  • Daily crew management: work assignments, productivity, and time tracking
  • Build, maintain, update, and communicate construction schedules to all parties
  • Coordinate inspections and resolve corrections
  • Manage subcontractors for scheduling, quality, and scope
  • Oversee material ordering, deliveries, and lead time tracking
  • Perform quality control walkthroughs, punch list development, and standard enforcement
  • Communicate with clients regularly and coordinate site visits
  • Maintain daily logs, photos, schedule updates, and change orders in construction management software
  • Enforce safety and maintain a clean, organized jobsite

SPECIALTY -- Luxury Residential Project Leadership

Beyond general project management, this role requires specific leadership capabilities:

  • Bilingual Communication: Fluent in Spanish with the crew and English with clients, inspectors, and subcontractors. Must be able to give detailed technical direction in Spanish and communicate professionally in English. This is a hard requirement.
  • Luxury Client Management: Our clients visit the jobsite regularly and expect professionalism, transparency, and attention to detail in every interaction. You are their daily point of contact.
  • In-House Crew Leadership: This is not a subcontractor coordination role. You lead skilled tradesmen who work for OGC directly across multiple disciplines. You earn respect through competence and leading from the front.
  • Founder Collaboration: You will work hand-in-hand with our Master Builder, who has 35+ years of field experience and sets the craft and quality standard on every project. You own the organizational side; scheduling, documentation, coordination, while respecting his technical authority. This role requires humility and team orientation.
  • Structured Reporting: Regular progress updates, budget tracking, and schedule status to the General Manager. Accountability and documentation are core to this role.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction project management software
  • Experience managing in-house crews (not just subcontractor coordination)
  • Knowledge of South Florida permitting processes (Miami-Dade and Broward)
  • Hands-on trade background -- a superintendent who can pick up a tool earns the crew's respect faster

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in construction (required)
  • Minimum 5 years as a superintendent on luxury custom residential projects ($600K-$2M+ range)
  • Fluent bilingual Spanish/English with technical construction vocabulary in both
  • languages
  • Demonstrated experience with CBS construction and Florida Building Code
  • Proven ability to manage construction schedules, coordinate inspections, and lead field crews
  • Professional client-facing communication skills
  • Reliable transportation required
  • References from prior luxury residential projects are required

Pay & Benefits

  • Full-Time, W2 employment
  • Pay: $80,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience
  • Consistent work on luxury custom home projects
  • Leadership role in a growing company with a clear vision
  • Opportunity to shape and grow field operations as the company scales
  • Work directly with a Master Builder with 35+ years of experience

Schedule

  • Full-time, typically Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Why Ozzy's Golden Construction

Ozzy's is building something intentionally: a high-performance in-house team, direct leadership involvement, and a luxury client experience built on professionalism and transparency. For the right superintendent, this is a chance to help shape operations as the company grows.
