What is a die cutter?

Die cutters are skilled machine operators who use specialized equipment to cut, shape, or trim materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic, or metal according to specific patterns or designs. They work in industries like printing, packaging, and manufacturing, ensuring that products meet precise dimensions and quality standards. Die cutters set up, adjust, and maintain die-cutting machines, troubleshoot issues, and inspect finished products for accuracy. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety protocols are essential for this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a die cutter?

To thrive as a Die Cutter, you need mechanical aptitude, precision, and experience with die cutting machinery, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with various die cutting presses, safety protocols, and basic maintenance tools is typically required.
